Common Tread’s Amber Desert Sandal is a barefoot design for warmer months (though they look great paired with socks, too!) It has minimal padding and no slope from heel to toe - ideal for growing, moving feet.
The sole is lightweight, flexible and non-slip, allowing for optimal forefoot flexion and movement. Our wide toe box and zero-drop sole are designed to promote natural movement and endless exploration.
Velcro fasteners make our shoes easy to get on and easy to get off, helping to foster independence in little ones.
Stitch down construction creates a robust and durable design that will stand the test of time and hold up through busy daily activities. Our shoes are designed to last for ages and be handed down to siblings, cousins, and friends.
Easy to keep clean and age beautifully. Available in toddler sizes 5-10.

How to measure
How to measure
- Place a blank piece of paper on a flat surface. The paper should be big enough for your foot.
- Stand barefoot on the paper, with your heel against a wall. Your weight should be evenly distributed and your foot should be flat.
- Mark the paper at the end of your longest toe with the pencil facing slightly inward.
- Use your ruler to measure the length.

I purchased the Kid’s Amber Desert Sandal for my 1 y/o as he was just starting to walk. I was trying to find the right “learning to walk” shoes in stores and couldn’t find any, so happy to have finally come across Common Trend brand online as it was just what I was looking for - soft and flexible :). My son loves wearing them and I’ll definitely be purchasing new pairs as his feet grow.
100% worth the investment. These are the first shoes my daughter (almost 2 years old) is excited to wear… and asks to keep on when we get home. So impressed. Highly recommend. Wish they made the style for adults too!
This is the second pair of shoes that I bought for my darling little grand daughter. She loves them. Can put them on all by herself. I am happy knowing her feet are being taken care of as she grows. Will buy the next pair pretty soon again.
We bought them on a market in Capetown and we are so happy with the incredibly good quality. Our Toddler loves his first sandals. The sole is super bendy and the leather super soft. Clear recommendation!! Even thinking of buying a second pair in a bigger size :)
